Tooth pain can interrupt your sleep and your work schedule.

Some people wait, thinking the pain may go away on its own, but it rarely does. In fact, dental pain often worsens over time and becomes unbearable.

Don’t wait! Contact Floresta Plaza Dental right away. Dr. Ken Torres and Dr. Allea Paras Torres will help restore your comfort and health quickly – often on the same day.

Common Dental Emergencies

Some of the dental emergencies that bring people to our office include:

  • A broken or lost tooth
  • A broken or lost restoration
  • Unexplained pain or swelling
  • Gum pain or swelling
  • Accidents or trauma
  • Infection

If you experience anything that causes pain with your teeth or gums, just give us a call and we can help determine if an emergency dental appointment is necessary.

Root Canal Therapy

If you have a severe infection inside your tooth, near the nerve, you may experience sudden pain, sensitivity, or pressure. Often, these symptoms are an indication of an infection that may be relieved with root canal therapy.

Many patients fear root canals, but there really is no reason to worry. Modern advancements in dentistry allow Dr. Ken Torres and Dr. Allea Paras Torres to provide comfortable root canal treatment that will often eliminate your symptoms and save your tooth.

After making sure you feel completely numb, our dentist will gently remove all signs of infection, bacteria, and decay. We will then fill the canal with an inert material and medication to assist with healing. Finally, We will seal your tooth while your body takes over the natural healing process.

After a couple of weeks, we will have you back to check your tooth and make sure there is still no sign of infection. We will reinforce your tooth with a restoration, usually a dental crown, to give your tooth added support.

Extractions

Removing a tooth is always a last resort and we try to avoid it, when possible. Unfortunately, sometimes removing a tooth is the best way to protect your health. When a dental extraction becomes necessary, we will always make sure you are numb and relaxed for treatment.

Both our dentists are skilled at removing damaged teeth. Your procedure will be over before you know it!

Once your procedure is complete, we will go over the best way to help your body heal. Depending on the location of your extracted tooth, we may recommend tooth-replacement therapy such as a bridge or dental implant to keep your remaining teeth from shifting and to avoid bone loss.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have already called our office, then you have had experience with our friendly and helpful team!

Our dentists and staff are great at making sure you are comfortable and relaxed during your visits.

Every patient is different, and we recognize that. Some patients may be more fearful than others, but our doctors are not rushed and are able to spend time with each of our patients to ensure that they are at ease so that together we can get our patients healthy.

We also believe in gentle dentistry and that dental care can be completely comfortable. Different patients require different levels of anesthetic because of factors such as anxiety. Having dental anxiety can make it a little more difficult for you to get completely numb. We take this into account and help you relax, take our time getting you numb, and make sure every procedure is comfortable and as pain-free as possible.

By maintaining excellent communication, educating our patients on their conditions and treatment options, and taking our time and treating every patient the way they deserve to be treated, we have been able to provide outstanding care for many patients who avoided dentistry in the past.
